Mold, Indoor Environmental Quality & Remediation Specialist | Educator | Protocol Developer | Expert Witness

Maxine Gomez

Maxine Gomez is a mold and indoor environmental quality specialist, educator, protocol developer, and expert witness with more than a decade of experience working at the intersection of moisture, microbial contamination, indoor air quality, building conditions, and occupant exposure.

‍

As founder of Dry Tech 24/7, Maxine has worked across the environmental remediation process—from assessment and investigation through remediation planning, protocol development, implementation, and post-remediation verification. Her expertise is grounded in both technical training and extensive field experience, giving her a practical understanding of how building-science findings translate into real-world remediation.

‍

Maxine is a NORMI State Certified Licensing Instructor and national mold remediation trainer in English and Spanish. Her professional training includes IICRC water mitigation and mold remediation, advanced indoor air quality assessment, GBAC, OSHA, and additional specialized environmental and building-related disciplines.

‍

A distinguishing aspect of Maxine’s work is her focus on the relationship between the building and the person occupying it. She recognizes that resolving an environmental problem requires more than identifying contamination—it requires understanding the moisture, HVAC, ventilation, building-envelope, and behavioral factors that allowed the problem to develop and persist.

‍

Her work also encompasses mold detox and environmental recovery education: helping individuals understand the importance of reducing ongoing environmental exposure and addressing the indoor environment as part of a broader recovery strategy. Her approach emphasizes the principle that the environment surrounding a person deserves attention alongside the individual themselves, while recognizing that medical evaluation and treatment decisions belong with qualified healthcare professionals.

‍

Maxine provides remediation protocols, peer review, professional training, environmental consulting, and expert-witness services for property owners, contractors, attorneys, insurance professionals, property managers, and other stakeholders.

‍

Her particular strength is bringing the perspective of someone who understands both the science of the building and the reality of the field—connecting diagnostic findings to remediation strategies that are practical, defensible, and capable of being implemented and verified.

‍

Her philosophy is simple: identify the source, correct the environment, and verify the result.
