Excessive Moisture Vapor Emission Rate (MVER): Moisture continuously migrates upward through concrete slabs, breaking chemical bonds in adhesives and causing wood swelling or resilient floor blasters.

High Alkalinity & Surface pH: As moisture carries soluble salts to the surface of the slab, high pH levels (above 9.0–10.0) cause adhesive saponification (liquefaction of water-based adhesives).
